Director of Housekeeping
A desirable opportunity exists for a highly accomplished professional to direct all aspects of housekeeping and laundry team. The selected candidate is part of the community’s management team and will have significant responsibility for ensuring a high quality welcoming experience for Residents and guests.
Qualified applicants are required to possess a minimum of 10 years of progressive housekeeping experience with prior supervisory responsibility. Hospitality, healthcare, environmental services or senior living background is preferred. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. Associate Degree in related field or equivalent years of experience in the field is required. Member of International Executive Housekeepers Association, Inc. (I.E.H.A.),Certified Registered Executive Housekeeper (C.E.H.), is a plus. Must possess a valid and driver’s license, where applicable.
Additional requirements include:
*Demonstrates ability to lead and manage employees
*Outstanding communication and problem solving skills, financial acumen and standards appropriate for the operation of a housekeeping operation
*Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Knowledge of State and Federal regulations; i.e., OSHA standards.
