different ways to improve your recruitment marketing this 2022

Finding the right job might be a challenge to other people but guess what, so as to the recruitment team. One might not think of it but there are also hardships when it comes to getting people to want to work with your team and much more having them to stay. If you’re one that belongs to the recruitment team or the hiring managers, read along as this might be helpful for you.

What really is Recruitment Marketing?

Recruitment Marketing really is when you try to create awareness into a specific target audience that your company could hire and build a sensible employer-employee relation.

It is a collated effort that you do to attract those candidates to join your team. These efforts may include online posting and advertisement, emails, calls, etc.

Why does it matter for companies and business owners? The simple answer to this question is because the real asset of every company and businesses out there is NOT THEIR PRODUCT/SERVICE its their people. And if you can’t have them in your team it would be impossible to move forward.

A Good Recruitment Marketing Strategy

There are many ways to let the public know about an open position or a job hiring that you have – but not all of them work every time.

So what are the keys to having a good recruitment marketing strategy? Simple – it’s understanding how to build their interest and keeping it. The recruitment funnel goes something like this:

  1. Creating Awareness – this is where you let the public know about the company, its strong culture as well as the staff and its open positions
  2. Building their interest – this is the most crucial part of the process and this is when you know you’ve hit the right target market whether their expertise can relate to your business or not
  3. Keeping them interested – another crucial step, this is when you cite the good things about the company such as benefits, perks, etc.
  4. Job Offer – this is when you present the actual job package and ask them to begin the interview process

Tips to improve your recruitment marketing this 2022

Now that we know the basics and general information, here are some tips that you can try out to further improve your recruitment marketing strategies this 2022.

Know what your Hiring Managers need in advance

In most cases, your hiring managers will be the one chasing updates from you. So to avoid any delays and to be proactive at the same time, know what they are looking for ahead of the time.

This means ask them about their ideal candidate and the flexibility of it. Have a sit down conversation with them to get a good understanding at the same time let them know about your timeline.

This way you can somehow speed up the process and not get bombarded with tasks when time comes.

Continuously find and try new channels

Keep trying for new and innovative ideas of getting the word out and build interest from candidates. This could mean trying other different social media platforms, other types of media, forums, etc.

You can also try to consider connecting with the top recruiters in your area if you have to.

Consider trying other forms of recruiting services

In addition to trying new channels above, you should also consider trying other forms of recruiting services from recruitment marketing agencies.

Some of the most popular services from them are proactive sourcing, PR release, consulting programs for recruitment, and more.

Once you find out which one works for you, add it to your list of campaigns so you can try again the next time.

Look back to past candidates

Past candidates that you’ve interviewed before should not be out of your list. Sometimes, circling back to them brings positive results and what’s good about it is that it costs you nothing.

Keeping past candidates connected on email is one good way to maintain a good target market when finding potential people that could join your team.

"Bita is EXACTLY what our facility needs. We have been working for a while at changing our image. She has joined us at precisely the right time. She is knowledgeable (extremely), hard working and committed to Quality Care. Because she is new, some leadership is challenging her, but she can handle it. The licensed nurses and CNAs LOVE her. She already has had a very positive impact. I am extremely grateful"
