Responsibilities

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple small business clients

Perform daily bookkeeping functions, including:

Bank and credit card reconciliations

Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
-
General ledger maintenance

Journal entries and month-end closing support
-

Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting schedules
-
Categorize and reconcile transactions within QuickBooks Online (QBO)
-
Review financial records for discrepancies and ensure accuracy
-
Maintain organized digital files and supporting documentation
-
Collaborate with accountants and tax professionals to ensure clean and audit-ready books
-
Support internal administrative and accounting workflows
-
Communicate professionally with clients and internal team members as needed
Requirements

3–5 years of bookkeeping experience within a US-based CPA, tax, or accounting firm

Strong expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required
-
Experience supporting multiple business clients simultaneously

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills
-
High attention to detail and accuracy

Hands-on experience in using VPN software (familiarity with Splashtop is preferred)

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines consistently
Preferred Qualification:
-
Experience using Double as a project management tool within a tax or accounting firm
Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Pacific hours (expect additional hours during tax season)
Salary and benefits:

$10-$12 per hour

Health insurance reimbursement of $100 from the first day of engagement

Full remote work arrangement, fixed weekends off

8 PTOs per year and birthday time-off (upon successfully passing the probationary period)
