Job Title: Medical Office Manager (Direct Primary Care Practice)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | In-office
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Practice Overview
We are a growing Direct Primary Care (DPC) medical practice serving approximately 70 patients. The practice operates on a cash-pay membership model only—no insurance, no billing, and no Medicare. With a significantly lower daily patient volume than a traditional medical office (approximately 8–9 patients per day), we offer a calm, patient-centered environment while the practice continues to grow.
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Medical Office Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the office runs smoothly. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in a medical office setting—preferably with hands-on Medical Assistant or phlebotomy experience—who is an independent problem solver and comfortable working in a low-volume practice with periods of downtime.

Manage daily medical office operations and keep the office running efficiently

Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, both in person and by phone
-
Schedule appointments and manage patient communications with professionalism and empathy
-
Anticipate operational issues and proactively resolve them with minimal supervision
-
Support the physician with administrative and clinical coordination as needed
-
Maintain an organized, welcoming, and patient-focused office environment
-
Educate prospective patients about the practice’s Direct Primary Care membership model and confidently discuss enrollment options
-
Assist with light clinical tasks as appropriate, depending on experience (e.g., phlebotomy or medical assistant duties)
Qualifications
-
Prior experience working in a medical office is required
-
Medical Assistant and/or phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
-
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work independently and take ownership of office operations
-
Comfortable with lower patient volume and periods of downtime as the practice grows
-
Sales experience or comfort discussing and “selling” membership-based healthcare services is a strong plus
-
Professional, reliable, and patient-oriented demeanor
