Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Forensic Accounting VA to support our client with ongoing forensic accounting and business valuation projects. This is a remote, offshore position ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, advanced Excel skills, and a high level of professionalism and discretion.
You will help prepare valuation reports used in sensitive legal and financial matters—including divorce, estate planning, and tax-related engagements. The role also includes managing communications, supporting document preparation, assisting with invoicing, and handling select billing/accounting duties.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing formal business valuations for legal, tax, and internal purposes

Conduct forensic accounting procedures, including reconciliations, tracings, and pension valuations

Analyze financial statements, tax returns, general ledgers, and other financial documents

Build and maintain financial models using Microsoft Excel

Extract, convert, and organize data from PDF documents

Contribute to drafting clear, accurate valuation reports using Microsoft Word and Excel

Collaborate directly with firm partners to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables

Maintain well-organized documentation using cloud platforms (e.g., Dropbox)

Monitor firm inboxes, manage communications, and conduct follow-ups with clients and leads

Draft engagement letters, prepare them for e-signature via DropboxSign, and organize finalized documents

Assist in preparing and sending client invoices

Handle select billing and accounting duties as assigned
- Submit end-of-day (EOD) reports summarizing tasks completed and ongoing updates
- Maintain strict confidentiality and follow all data security protocols
Required Qualifications

Strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis (CPA not required)

Advanced Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling)

Ability to interpret and work with PDF-based financial data

Excellent English communication skills—written and verbal

Ability to work independently with consistent accountability and communication

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week within the 7 AM–6 PM Pacific Time window
Compensation: $1200-$1500/month depending on experience
