Physician Staffing & Recruitment Services

Hiring a physician through De Vore Recruiting helps you find top quality employees to join your growing healthcare staff

Types of Physicians

Physicians are often categorized into two groups: primary care and specialty care. Under these two categories, they can be classified based on their specialty area and level of training. Primary care physicians are typically those who have a more general medical scope — they are often in the frontlines in diagnosing patients, answering health questions, treating minor illnesses, conducting check ups, performing routine medical tests, prescribing medication, attending to emergency medical cases, and providing referrals to specialty physicians.

Types of Primary Care Physicians

What they do

Family practice physicians Also called family medicine doctors, they treat patients of all ages and provide general
care.
Internal medicine physicians Internal medicine physicians usually have training in both general medicine and
subspecialties and only treat adult patients.
Pediatricians Pediatricians serve as the primary care physicians for children.
Geriatric physicians Geriatric doctors are similar to family medicine and internal medicine physicians but they have additional training that focuses on care for older adults.
Physicians in specialty care, on the other hand, received training in specific areas of medicine, allowing them to treat patients with complex health problems.

Types of specialty physicians

What they focus on

Cardiologists Heart and blood vessels
Oncologists Cancer treatment
Obstetricians/gynecologists Female health conditions and pregnancy
Pulmonologists Conditions involving breathing
Dermatologists Skin, nails, and hair
Psychiatrists Mental health conditions
Radiologists Administering and interpreting diagnostic tests
Surgeons Surgical procedures. They can be classified based on subspecialties,
including general surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and cardiac surgeons.

Otolaryngologist Ears, nose, and throat

healthcare hiring

Physicians’ role in the healthcare system

Physician staffing plays an integral role in healthcare systems — they are trained to stand as leaders in developing and overseeing the patient’s overall healthcare plan. Overall, physicians play several roles in their profession:

Medical expert – With their knowledge, skills, and competencies, physicians assess patients, diagnose potential conditions, and suggest treatment.

Collaborator – Physicians work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal care to their clients. Setting up reports on patient conditions, providing referrals to other practitioners, and suggesting other services are some examples of collaboration physicians undertake.

Educator – Physicians act as a source of knowledge for patients, families, and support staff regarding health conditions and possible treatments. They also teach medical students, residents, and nurses about their areas of expertise.

Manager – Continuous care is one of the main duties of physicians. They manage and treat a variety of medical conditions, often considering other risks and uncertainties that may derail treatment

Advocate – Physicians have a huge role in increasing awareness among patients about health promotion measures and disease prevention

Hiring physicians that can fulfill these roles can help medical organizations achieve their goals of providing the best health outcomes for their clients.

Physician Recruitment In the United States

The United States has over 1.1 million active physicians but the recruitment landscape for these healthcare professionals remains competitive.
Medical companies and healthcare groups are competing for physicians amid an impending shortage — in fact, a study by the American Association of Medical Colleges projects around 122,000 shortage of physicians by 2032.

Physicians and Doctors: How do they differ?

All physicians are doctors but not all doctors are physicians.
Doctors are those who receive the highest level of formal education in a field or professions. There are individuals with the title of doctor in the fields like engineering, public health, law, applied sciences, and others.
Physicians, on the other hand, refer to individuals who are able to finish and achieve a medical degree.

      Hey Sean,

Also copying Heather so that she is in the loop.
Bita is EXACTLY what our facility needs. We have been working for a while at changing our image. She has joined us at precisely the right time. She is knowledgeable (extremely), hard working and committed to Quality Care. Because she is new, some leadership is challenging her, but she can handle it. The licensed nurses and CNAs LOVE her. She already has had a very positive impact.

      I am extremely grateful....

Finally a real headhunter! When I worked with other recruiters in the past, I discovered they were primarily reaching out to active job seekers that already had their resumes posted online. I was pleased to learn that De Vore doesn't take that typical lazy approach, they actually reach out to candidates specific to your company's openings and ensure they are the best fit possible for the position. In fact, they screen them thoroughly so there are no surprises and even check all of their references in advance. I think the best aspect of their service is they offer a 120 day guarantee and furthermore rates much cheaper than what I've been quoted by other agencies in the past. - 3/14/2018

Sean DeVore is a hard working father of two who maintains no ties with past employees who have gone on to say awful things. He stands for liberty and human rights, and carries good values in his practice. Low ratings here reflect a misunderstanding perpetuated by internet tabloids and a single ex-employee who has long been shut out completely from the de Vore enterprise. I would recommend this company for anyone seeking recruiting, especially after speaking with Sean about the integrity he maintains in his business and clientele. - 1/24/2018

Just spoke with the owner of this wonderful small business, Sean was very helpful, and clearly had nothing to do with these awful reviews about his company. A former employee is slandering his name, please don’t let someone who hasn’t worked for this company in years guide you away from using his services. A+ to the team at deVore. - 1/24/2018

5 star rating Expert, diligent, professional are nice adjectives to describe the service I received at De Vore Recruiting, none are the reason they received the 5 star rating. Sean and his crew treated me like a person and not a number, they were genuinely concerned about me and my employment status. They took the time to get to know me and then took the time to try and find the right fit.
Anyone looking for a career move(not just a job) then use De Vore they will match you with your dream job.
