Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Labor & Employment Partner to join our client’s Long Beach office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with an existing book of business who is looking to expand their practice within a dynamic and growth-oriented firm.
The ideal candidate is energetic, business-minded, and capable of both maintaining and growing client relationships while delivering high-quality legal counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand an existing book of business in labor and employment law
- Advise clients on a wide range of employment matters, including:
- Employment litigation
- Workplace policies and compliance
- Wage and hour issues
- Discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims
- Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings
- Provide strategic counsel to corporate clients on employment-related risk management
- Collaborate with other practice groups to support cross-disciplinary client needs
- Mentor junior attorneys as needed
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the California State Bar
- Approximately 8–10+ years of experience in labor and employment law
- Portable book of business (required)
- Strong litigation and advisory experience
- Proven ability to generate and sustain client relationships
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
