Reports To: Owner (Leigh Hilton) and Business Manager (Tracy Williams)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Meeting with prospective clients for first consultations and interim meetings, conduct review and document signing appointments with clients. Ensure that legal documents are appropriately drafted to meet the planning needs and recommendations for clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with prospective clients for first consultations and gather all necessary information to make planning recommendations and probate needs;
- Meet with existing clients and review their current plan for possible changes or upgrades to estate plan;
- Engage clients to move forward with preparation of estate planning documents;
- Complete Client Intake Form
- Schedule document signing meetings within 4 weeks from date of engagement;
- Schedule interim meetings (if necessary);
- Review draft of estate plan to ensure that plan meets client’s needs and wishes, along with any recommendations made to client;
- Conduct document signing appointment with client, including notarization of all documents, explaining the plan and how it was designed and answer any questions or address any concerns that they may have;
- Assess any opportunities to refer client to affiliated financial advisor
- Respond to any client phone calls or e-mails;
- Keep detailed notes of all meetings and phone calls (either electronically or hand-written) and make sure that notes are maintained inside the client file;
- Meet with Leigh on a regular basis to discuss complicated client matters and get any technical questions answered;
- Work 45-50 hours per week
- Remain one week ahead on all estate planning drafting;
- Act as a check and balance for other attorneys, ensure that all legal documents receive two attorney reviews before leaving the building;
- Perform all other projects as assigned.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Licensed attorney by State Bar of Texas; experience in the area of Estate Planning would be helpful but not required
SALARY
$75,000 to $140,000 depending on experience
