The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing all employees in the tax department, and client work product in the areas of accounting and taxation. This includes tax return preparation and review, tax and accounting research, maintenance, updating and input of client records, interaction with clients, maintaining and improving new and existing client relations, preparing departmental profitability reporting, client appointments for quarterly tax planning, supervising and evaluating direct and indirect reports, all tax related inquiries and responses, 1099’s and W-2’s, Sales Tax Returns, and all other duties as requested.
They will be required to review all of 2020’s tax returns before the begging of next tax season. They need to be high level in tax but enjoy the other aspects of accounting and tax.
We are looking for someone who want to be on the partner track to take over from me in about 7-9 years.
Compensation: Annual salary of $110,000 – $125,000, paid twice a month on the 5th and the 20th of each month.
Performance Bonus, based on Department Profitability.
Three (3) weeks paid vacation days per year, after the first year, 4 weeks after the third year, 5 weeks after the 4th year, and 6 weeks from them on.
21 hours of (or 3 days) sick time at commencement of employment and renewed at the beginning of each calendar year.
Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (1/2 Day) and Christmas.
