Summary:
We are seeking an individual who is efficient and comfortable working as part of a team. The ideal candidate should be able to multitask, maintain complex schedules, and provide administrative support. Resourcefulness, strong problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities are essential for this position. Ensuring timely completion of work is crucial for success. The attorney’s main responsibility will be to handle litigation from the beginning to the trial stage. You can expect to have the support of a full-time equivalent legal secretary/paralegal.
Responsibilities:
- Providing legal support and guidance
- Meeting with clients at the remand or an office to critically discuss their case
- Communicating with clients to understand their concerns and needs to help provide them with essential pieces of advice
- Strategizing on how to resolve the client’s cases in a favorable and cost-effective manner
- Enlightening clients about legal options and making them know the possible outcomes
- Staying informed about any current legislation
- Building trustworthy relationships with clients
- Preparing legal documents
- Collecting retainers from clients
- Supervise Pre-Lit team
- Meet goals the firm has set
- Training new staff members joining their team
- Collaboration with co-workers on ideas and new policy implementation
Qualifications:
- 4 years’ experience as an attorney
- minimum of 2 years litigation experience for Plaintiffs
- Member of California State Bar
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong legal knowledge in Civil Litigation
- Ability to manage and run your own caseload.
- An understanding of the Code of Civil Procedure and discovery deadlines.
- Experience propounding and responding to discovery.
- Experience taking and defending depositions or possess a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work autonomously as part of a team.
- Salary Compensation: $140,000 – $200,000
