The attorney's main responsibility will be to handle litigation from the beginning to the trial stage. You can expect to have the support of a full-time equivalent legal secretary/paralegal.
Responsibilities:
- Providing legal support and guidance
- Meeting with clients at the remand or an office to critically discuss their case
- Communicating with clients to understand their concerns and needs to help provide them with essential pieces of advice
- Strategizing on how to resolve the client's cases in a favorable and cost-effective manner
- Enlightening clients about legal options and making them know the possible outcomes
- Staying informed about any current legislation
- Building trustworthy relationships with clients
- Preparing legal documents
- Collecting retainers from clients
- Supervise Pre-Lit team
- Meet goals the firm has set
- Training new staff members joining their team
- Collaboration with co-workers on ideas and new policy implementation
Qualifications:
- 4 years' experience as an attorney
- minimum of 2 years litigation experience for Plaintiffs
- Member of California State Bar
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong legal knowledge in Civil Litigation
- Ability to manage and run your own caseload.
- An understanding of the Code of Civil Procedure and discovery deadlines.
- Experience propounding and responding to discovery.
- Experience taking and defending depositions or possess a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work autonomously as part of a team.
- Salary Compensation: $140,000 – $200,000
