Our client is a premier luxury senior living community nestled in the heart of Sonoma County’s wine country. Located in Northern California, this Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) is part of a distinguished network known for its resort-style campuses and exceptional standards of care. The community offers a full continuum of services—including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and comprehensive Wellness Support. We are seeking a dedicated Health and Wellness Director – LVN or RN with a strong background in senior living and health & wellness leadership. This role is key in supporting residents’ holistic well-being and requires someone who is an articulate advocate for resident care and a champion for community education.
Key Qualifications

Active LVN or RN license (California)

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an assisted living or senior living setting

At least 2 years of experience in a senior living or CCRC environment

Strong understanding of health & wellness policies and senior care regulations

Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) processes and Medicare guidelines (especially as they relate to skilled nursing or CCRCs)

Confident in leading resident-focused discussions that prioritize well-being over cost
-
Excellent communication skills—able to clearly explain wellness programs to residents and families

Experience serving on or leading a Healthcare Committee is a plus

Health & Wellness Leadership & Education
We are looking for a leader who is passionate about educating staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and promoting health and wellness within the CCRC community. This individual will actively participate in the 5 mandated healthcare committees and help shape a wellness-first environment through collaboration and mentorship.

Resident Liaison & Regulatory Expertise
Acts as a liaison between the health & wellness team and residents—clearly explaining the community’s programs, care practices, and philosophy. Must be well-versed in state and federal regulations governing senior living operations and capable of effectively communicating the rationale behind policies, safety protocols, and procedures in a resident-friendly way.

Strong Communication & Advocacy
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when interacting with residents, families, care teams, and healthcare professionals. Should be able to advocate for residents' needs, build trust, and ensure that the wellness program is clearly understood and accessible to all stakeholders.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST

Salary Range: $100,000 – $105,000 annually
