Over the past 24 months, we have acquired three hospice companies in southern California. We are looking for entrepreneurial team players. That means we don’t have the typical stuffy, bureaucratic systems and policies. Our leadership team is solely there to provide support through our extensive network of seasoned hospice executive leadership. We embrace the fact that a hospice in Riverside looks a lot different than a hospice in Los Angeles or Barstow. We want to keep the company culture at the community, or even neighborhood, level. To do that, we want self-starters who can think for themselves and create solutions to problems, not give up when faced with difficulties. I call these types of people “athletes.” We want athletes. We know that the best way to achieve success is by having a clinical and sales team that is aligned and mutually supportive.
Our values: Be kind. Be caring. Be honest. Be responsive. Be accountable.
Our mission: Provide an end-of-life experience we would want for ourselves and our families – every patient, every day.
Our promise: Patient first, employee always.
There is no lip service in the words you see. We are not backed by huge private equity. The owners are the operators and we have a lot of skin in the game. Each of our backgrounds demonstrates our tenacity to achieve massive goals and drive for results. Our CEO began her career over 35 years ago as a hospice nurse and has been leading and growing successful hospice organizations across the country. We understand the value of highly experienced and compassionate clinical leaders. In this position, the DPCS is the leader of the office, and the executive team will not micromanage. We want leaders to draw upon their previous experiences to make their office better.
This position is for our LA office, which is physically located in Burbank.
This is an in-person role. Based on our size, the DPCS would also need to be able to make clinical visits sometimes until we amassed more full-time and part-time nurses.
As part of our restructuring plan and why we are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial candidate, the ideal scenario would be for this DPCS to also bring over a reliable small team (experienced LVN and sales liaison). We already have an experienced administrator (non-clinical) and office manager who will be supporting this DPCS role. We also have ample PRN clinical support to cover any gap in finding full-time and part-time nurses.
