Nurse Staffing & Recruitment Services

Agencies take away the pain of recruiting nurses for healthcare companies, allowing them to focus on improving patient care and experience.

How recruiters help address some common problems in nurse staffing

Below is a comparison of how recruitment agencies tackle some of the common issues in nurse staffing and recruitment:

Common issues in nursing recruitment In-house recruitment approach Tapping recruitment agencies
Nursing staff shortage In-house recruiting often takes time, given the lack of access to a stable and wide workforce network and talent pool. Recruitment agencies have a wider reach, allowing for a quicker turnaround in hiring of new nursing staff.
Skills and experience of nurses New nurses hired through an in-house recruitment approach usually have to rely on senior staff for further skills training. Nurse headhunters often find top quality candidates with advanced skills and qualified experience, making transitions from onboarding to actual work cost-effective and seamless. Recruitment agencies also do rigorous searches to find fully-trained and credentialed candidates who fit the needs of their clients.
Nurse burnout Ineffective staff scheduling can lead to burnout and in-house recruitment teams might not have the right tools and capacity to address these issues. Recruitment agencies can help companies come up with strategies to improve staff scheduling to prevent burnout. They can also help develop programs that would boost the overall wellness of nurses.
Attrition Rate For companies that are still experiencing a high attrition rate, existing retention programs, if there are any, might be outdated and in need of a review. Nurse recruiting agencies can devise better retention strategies including revising employment strategies, providing better training, and improving working arrangements.

Advantages of working with headhunters for nurse recruitment

Tapping recruitment agencies for hiring nurses presents a huge opportunity for healthcare companies, not only to address staffing issues but to improve overall patient care. Here are the biggest benefits of working with agencies in hiring nurses:

Agencies have access to a wider network of quality candidates

Headhunters have the ability to sift through heaps of potential candidates to find which nurse applicants have the required skills, the right motivations, and passion. They have the tools and strategies to conduct a thorough background and work history check. They also conduct rigorous interviews to find the most compatible candidates for the needs of their clients.

Working with headhunters reduces the time and cost needed in hiring nurses

Nurse recruitment, particularly for direct hires, could be time-consuming and costly — the high demand for nurses creates a competitive landscape. Headhunters’ ability to find candidates quickly in their network can help reduce the overall cost of recruitment for their clients.

Recruitment agencies can help increase retention

The work of recruitment agencies does not end with hiring the right candidate. With their expertise, they can help companies retain their newly-hired nurses with retention programs.

    Recruiting Nurses

Nurse recruitment can either fall into direct hire or contract staffing. Direct hire nursing jobs are those that are considered full-time, permanent positions. While healthcare companies can directly hire their nurses, recruitment agencies have the right tools to acquire the best candidates according to the needs of their clients.

On the other hand, there’s contract-based hires. Companies with short-term staffing needs can opt to go for per diem recruitment of nurses, something recruitment agencies can also arrange.

With the help of recruitment agencies, companies can fill their open roles with competent nurses in several areas. De Vore Recruiting, for instance, helps its clients find top quality registered nurses (RNs), certified nurse assistants (CNAs), critical-care nurses, and licensed practical nurses (LPNs), for direct hire roles across the US.

Nurse Staffing & Recruitment In a More Effective Way

Hiring the best nurses is crucial to medical companies and healthcare institutions to ensure smoother day-to-day operations, improved patient care and experience, and better overall outcomes. But with the increasing demand for nurses and the shortage of available candidates, recruiting the best ones seems to be a challenge.

Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Employment Projections 2021-2031 showed a projection of 65% growth in the registered nursing workforce over the next decade. While this means the industry will welcome a total of 195,400 nurses in 2031, the opening for nursing jobs each year through the same period is expected to increase by 203,000.

This makes it important for healthcare companies to tap recruitment agencies when hiring nurses to give themselves advantage in a quite competitive landscape.

      Hey Sean,

Also copying Heather so that she is in the loop.
Bita is EXACTLY what our facility needs. We have been working for a while at changing our image. She has joined us at precisely the right time. She is knowledgeable (extremely), hard working and committed to Quality Care. Because she is new, some leadership is challenging her, but she can handle it. The licensed nurses and CNAs LOVE her. She already has had a very positive impact.

      I am extremely grateful....

Finally a real headhunter! When I worked with other recruiters in the past, I discovered they were primarily reaching out to active job seekers that already had their resumes posted online. I was pleased to learn that De Vore doesn't take that typical lazy approach, they actually reach out to candidates specific to your company's openings and ensure they are the best fit possible for the position. In fact, they screen them thoroughly so there are no surprises and even check all of their references in advance. I think the best aspect of their service is they offer a 120 day guarantee and furthermore rates much cheaper than what I've been quoted by other agencies in the past. - 3/14/2018

Sean DeVore is a hard working father of two who maintains no ties with past employees who have gone on to say awful things. He stands for liberty and human rights, and carries good values in his practice. Low ratings here reflect a misunderstanding perpetuated by internet tabloids and a single ex-employee who has long been shut out completely from the de Vore enterprise. I would recommend this company for anyone seeking recruiting, especially after speaking with Sean about the integrity he maintains in his business and clientele. - 1/24/2018

Just spoke with the owner of this wonderful small business, Sean was very helpful, and clearly had nothing to do with these awful reviews about his company. A former employee is slandering his name, please don’t let someone who hasn’t worked for this company in years guide you away from using his services. A+ to the team at deVore. - 1/24/2018

5 star rating Expert, diligent, professional are nice adjectives to describe the service I received at De Vore Recruiting, none are the reason they received the 5 star rating. Sean and his crew treated me like a person and not a number, they were genuinely concerned about me and my employment status. They took the time to get to know me and then took the time to try and find the right fit.
Anyone looking for a career move(not just a job) then use De Vore they will match you with your dream job.
